May 15, 2021 THE Provincial Government of Tarlac will still impose a liquor ban on areas with high number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases.
In a resolution on the updated guidelines for the management of Covid-19 cases in the Tarlac released on Friday, the liquor ban will still in effect in the towns of Bamban, Camiling, Capas, Concepcion, Gerona Paniqui, and Tarlac City until May 31,2021.
The daily curfew will be from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. of the next day from May 16 until May 31, 2021, the resolution said.
The guidelines added that face-to-face cockfighting in Tarlac is still strictly prohibited.
However, cockfighting for the sole purpose of e-sabong licensed and regulated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is allowed.

Bars and bottle shops around New Zealand are boycotting a local brewery because of racist comments about Māori made online by its founder and head brewer and a subsequent post by the company saying the comments were misconstrued .
Eagle Brewing founder and head brewer David Gaughan yesterday commented on a news story on Facebook about a shooting in Napier calling Māori the scourge of New Zealand .
"Alcohol abuse is the albatross around one's neck for us in the SAPS and certainly for the communities we serve," police minister Bheki Cele said on Friday.

JOHOR BARU: Some 93 barrels of counterfeit liquor and 5,419 of bottles of untaxed alcohol were seized by the authorities here in a raid under Ops Contraband.
Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Rahim Jaafar said the raid was conducted on a shophouse at Taman Desa Idaman in Senai here at around 6.10am on Monday (May 10) following a tip-off.
“Two individuals, a local and a Myanmar national, between the ages of 25 and 35, were also arrested during the raid.
